Future

After getting my Master’s in Computer Science in the Spring of 1971, I was determined to continue on by taking more courses hoping for better results in the future.

My work schedule was increased to three-quarter time and I spent most of my time writing code for the physics experimenters. It was exciting work and I enjoyed it very much.

During this time Winnie was finishing her Master’s work in Home Economics. Then an opportunity came up to begin my teaching career. I was offered a job as an Assistant Professor at Northwest Missouri State University teaching Computer Science classes. At the time only a minor was offered but the plans were to create an accredited Computer Science major. I took the job and we moved to Maryville, Missouri.
